Are there any ex muslims out there?

what made you leave? i found this articale from some ex muslims

Why Mohammed was not a prophet:

One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their “right hand possessions” (Quran 33:50) He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way. Muhammad was a narcissist like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified. Are there any ex muslims out there?

......................................…Are there any ex muslims out there?
hye i went toa muslim school my whole life, i know all about the prophet, he never did anything like that. its just iggnorant people like u believe everything they hear. shame on you. you really think over a billion people would be following him if he was a murderer? in time u will kow the truth, and then u will think about this moment
I became a christian from Muslim on finding out the supposed prophet ascended to heaven in two places one in Jerusalem that i made a pilgrimage to see, the mosque as splendid as it is, as a building, then an year later i went up mount Sinai and lo and behold there was a mosque up there, so i asked a Muslim Friend about it and i got the other story, so i thought if they do not know where mome went to heaven from why should i believe what other stories they say about someone who said he had a prophecy from the lord God himself,
Not sure if I agree with the article about the character of a prophet. The apostle Paul who wrote many books in the new testament went about killing Christians etc. before he was touched by Jesus and then received one of the gifts from the Holy Spirit that being prophecy and then went around spreading the good news and building churches

Anyone can receive the gift of prophecy 1 Corinthians 14:1
You know, it's a lot more likely that these ';ex-Muslims'; who wrote this never really believed in Islam in the first place. Sure there are people who convert away from Islam, but people do that from all religions.
Also I know ex Christians converted to Islam and said why they do not believe that Jesus Christ is not the son of God...and I can paste their stories over here BUT why should this make a difference to you???

I am Muslim and when someone say they are ex muslims and blablabla... it doesn't make a difference to me because I know they hv never understand what Islam is realy about... but there is no harm... everyone in this world has the right to choose his/her way of life...

ISLAM is a way of life and it is a personal choice at all..

[Quran 2:256] ';There shall be no compulsion in religion...';.

I believe that when someone choose to convert from their ex faith to a new one then they should keep respect to the ex faith and its symbols..otherwise... they wouldn't be sincere at their new faith at all...

Peace
MOHAMED?

whoa!

Not even A litterate.

Virgins ? Where they gonna get em all ?
There are no EX Muslims. They are all murdered according to Sharia instructions.
I know about 6 who became christians and left the muslim faith and a couple more who just left in general to do with muhammad. I will ask them why, I know roughly why but it's not really my story to tell and I would need to get my facts straight.
are you asking just to cause grief?

im mean come on!

you must be god squad, your religion has crazy ideas too.

read ';the god delusion'; by dawkins to see that god in the bible was an angry, jealous chappie.
Whose Biography that person has given............its not of Muhammad(pbuh) for sure !!

Let me show you what some great non-muslims think of Muhammad !

George Bernard Shaw

If a man like Muhamed were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness

Diwan Chand Sharma

';Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him.';

(D.C. Sharma, The Prophets of The East, Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12)

Prof. C. Snouck Hurgronje

';The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations.'; He continues: ';The fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations .

Geoffrey Parrinder

A noted British author has observed:

';No great religious leader has been so maligned as Prophet Mohammed. Attacked in the past as a heretic, an impostor, or a sensualist, it is still possible to find him referred to as ';the false prophet.'; A modern German writer accuses Prophet Mohammed of sensuality, surrounding himself with young women. This man was not married until he was twenty-five years of age, then he and his wife lived in happiness and fidelity for twenty-four years, until her death when he was forty-nine. Only between the age of fifty and his death at sixty-two did Prophet Mohammed take other wives, only one of whom was a virgin, and most of them were taken for dynastic and political reasons. Certainly the Prophet's record was better than the head of the Church of England, Henry VIII.';

(Geoffrey Parrinder, Mysticism in the World's Religions (New York: Oxford University Press, 1976, pg. 121)
wow I dont know where to start. He never raped anyone. He did not loot innocent people. The men from the banu Qurzaiya were killed because they betrayed and attacked the muslims. The ones who had not betrayed the muslims were freed. He never dreamed of grandiosity and instead lived as a poor man. He did not feel the pain of others ?? ok I need to stop now your ignorance is too much

Do yourself a favor and read history. From something other than hate-filled sites. get a book. seriously
Mohammed Atta, and his 18 fellow merry men are now ';ex-muslim'; I guess - scattered in tiny bits all over southern Manhatten, Washington, and ....
i know one person who left Islam and converted to Christianity

about 6-7 months later he converted back to Islam

and said that converting to Christianity was the worst decision he has ever made. And now he is a devout Muslim.

Other then that i have never met anyone who left Islam. But i have met 81 converts to Islam in less than a year and a half ago.

EDIT:

sorry it was 71, not 81 converts i met

EDIT:

its funny how i get so many thumbs down even though im telling the truth. ahah

oh wow, its like if someone tells you today is Sunday

and then someone is like no ill give you thumbs down.

its not like i'm giving an opinion, I'm telling a fact and i still get thumbs down. that cracks me up.
This is so wrong and negative its unbelievable. Some have strayed away from good.

What the?!

All of this crap that you posted here is absolutely not TRUE AT ALL. Muhammad has never done any of those things that you have listed.

I have read the entire Qu'ran and I know what it says and what it doesn't, and it definitely does NOT say this.
One thing for sure he wont be able to do that in hell.
a person who marries a kid when he is in his 50s is defnitely not a moral person.

If people of that time did those things. Those were stupids and mohammed was no different.

Roshini,,,,,,that is the real problem........you people just listen to what those great people said.....use some sense. I think a book of hatred to non-muslims cannot be holy. I dont like OT either.
u obviously know nothing about Prophet Muhammad and his life. stop making up your own stories, pathetic people!
Many leaders have fought wars and committed atrocities in the name of their ideologies.. in the past. The christian church is certainly not exempt from blame or criticism in this respect. Under-age marriages were frequently consummated and approved in those times. We should not be too ready to criticise those who acted according to the mores of those times. Perhaps arranged marriage (and the subjugation of women) stonings and amputations were necessary in tribal societies where recourse to proper and humane legislation was non-existent, and the only alternative to endless internecine feuds and bloodletting. But this is now! Surely we have advanced? Can we not throw out the antique and frankly barbarous practices as not fit for purpose? The danger of fundamentalism is it brooks no approval of all but the most literal interpretation of its ideology.I would seek to ban texts both in the koran and the bible on the grounds of incitement to religious hatred.
Sarah, always ask yourself if what you're about to do is going to make the world a better place or a worse place. For you, here, it's the latter.
I know some people who secretly converted to Christianity but fear being murdered by relatives or compatriots.

I know someone who converted to Buddhism because of the contrast between the peaceful ahimsa teachings of Buddhism and the violence he experienced from Islamic teachings' presentation. I know of a woman who changed her identity completely when she converted to Conservative Judaism and married a Jew.

I know of a woman who changed from Muslim Fundamentalist to an Independent Fundamental Baptist and,as a Christian, I find her behavior and attitudes worse now in every way!
